Hey, I'm Tim — and I'm genuinely passionate about coffee machines.

I've spent over 20 years working in and around the hospitality industry, including time as a café owner and operator. That hands-on experience gave me a real understanding of what it means when a machine goes down in the middle of a busy service — and it's that perspective I bring to every job I do.

A few years ago I made the move into coffee machine technical work, and it's been a perfect fit. I've always been a tinkerer — fixing cars, motorbikes, doing woodwork and welding — so diagnosing and repairing complex espresso machines came naturally. I've even built machines from scratch, which means there's very little I haven't seen under the hood.

Since starting Melbourne Espresso Tech, I've dedicated myself to building a reputation based on three things: quality workmanship, honest communication, and showing up when I say I will. Melbourne's café culture deserves better than dodgy repairs and vague timelines — and that's exactly what I aim to deliver.

Common Questions

How quickly can I expect my machine to be repaired?

Most repairs are completed within 24–48 hours of our first visit. For jobs that require parts to be ordered, we'll give you a clear timeline upfront so you can plan accordingly.

Do you offer after-hours support?

Yes. Breakdowns don't keep business hours, and neither do we. Call for after-hours support and we'll do our best to get to you as quickly as possible.

Which machines do you service?

We service all major commercial espresso machine brands including La Marzocco, Kees Van Der Westen, Slayer, Synesso, Sanremo, Victoria Arduino, Nuova Simonelli, Rocket, and Expobar, plus grinders from Mazzer, Mahlkonig, and Anfim. For domestic machines, we service most quality espresso machines and grinders. We also specialise in lever and vintage machines. Please note we are currently unable to assist with fully automatic machines from Breville, Sunbeam, and DeLonghi.

What areas do you service?

We cover Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, including the CBD, Fitzroy, Richmond, Collingwood, South Yarra, Carlton, Brunswick, Northcote, Hawthorn, Camberwell, St Kilda, and many more, including regional Victoria. Give us a call to confirm we cover your area.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

Absolutely. All repairs are backed by a 3-month guarantee, and refurbished machines come with a comprehensive 12-month warranty. We only use genuine OEM parts.

Do you handle installations for new cafés?

Yes — we offer professional coffee machine installation and deinstallation across Victoria. If you're opening a new venue or upgrading your setup, we'll handle the whole process and make sure everything is running perfectly before we leave.

Do you come to me, or do I need to bring the machine to you?

We primarily come to you — all work can be carried out on-site at your café, business, or home across Melbourne. However if you prefer to drop your machine off, get in touch and we can arrange that too
